Marion Beverly Ballard, 96, of Sheridan, passed away peacefully at Sheridan Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, August 18, 2020. She was welcomed home by her parents and three sisters. She was born to Homer and Ellen (Granger) Ballard, on May 25, 1924, in Sheridan. She lived on the Homestead in Ulm until the death of her youngest sister, Phyllis. She graduated from Sheridan High School in January of 1942. In the summers, she worked at Eaton’s Ranch. Then in 1945, she was offered a job at J.C.Penney’s, where she spent her whole career, retiring in 1990. Aunt Bev, (as all who knew her), loved her family and friends, along with her gardening, crocheting, baking, and playing cards. Survivors include nieces, Candace Crist of Sheridan, Phyllis Bowden of Livingston, MT, nephews, John Crist and his wife Susie, of Cheyenne, Jeffrey Crist of Sheridan, Paul Crist and his wife Sandra, of Jacksonville, FL, Nicholas Crist and his wife Laura, of Woodbridge, VA, great nieces, Theresa Baldner of Livingston, MT,Jamie Seaman and her husband Trent of Sheridan, great nephews, Philip Days of Sheridan, Jason Crist and his wife Kellie, of Alexandria, VA, Bryan Crist of Cheyenne, Scott Crist and his wife, Eirin, of Laramie, great-great nieces, Lilly and Truth Seaman and Ryan Crist, great-great nephews, James and Seamus Crist. She is also survived by dear friends Ginny and FrankDannels, Angela Browne, Haley and Charlie Roberts, and PamSajec. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Ellen,and three sisters, Maryanna (Robert)Bowden, Janet(John), and PhyllisBallard,and nephew Walter Bowden. A memorial gathering of family was held on Sunday, August 23, 2020.
