Cindy Ranee Duncan was born in Sheridan, Wyoming on November 17, 1961 to Bob and Willa Duncan.  She passed away peacefully on July 10, 2020at Westview Health Care Center.

Cindy spent her entire life in Sheridan where she started attending special education classes when she was 6years old, graduating in 1978.  She participated in the Renew program, later transferring to Easter Seals of Wyoming.  During her time with Easter Seals she resided at the Sunbonnet House with many friends, including two of her life-long friends Brenda and Shirley.

Cindy had many interests and passions in life, including a love of music. She loved listening to music by Lawrence Welk, polkas and Christmas carols.  She enjoyed dancing,participating in plays, drawing, coloring and writing notes to the many peoples he knew.  Cindy was quite the girly-girl and adored getting her hair and nails done with her Mom.  She had a large collection of rings that she loved to show off by wearing them on every finger.  She also enjoyed tea parties with her stuffed animals and blowing bubbles into the wind. Despite Cindy’s shy nature, she was a fierce competitor, participating in the Wyoming Special Olympics and earning many medals and ribbons.

The Bighorn Mountains was a special place where Cindy spent many summer days at “Grama’s Cabin”.  Her special bond with her Grama Duncan had them both spending time admiring wildflowers, watching squirrels and chipmunks,and the wild birds feed at the bird feeder. Cindy enjoyed her special walks with Grama through Peaceful Valley near the cabin.  Cindy would even go catch an occasional fish from the stream running in front of the cabin.  One of her favorite things to do was to take4-wheeler rides with her brother Dave. She would let Dave know when she wanted a ride by going out and standing by the 4-wheeler and waiting for him.  

Cindy filled a special niche in the lives of many people.  She was a teacher---teaching us all the power of a sincere smile and a warm hug.  We will always remember her beautiful spirit,her infectious giggle, her determination and her kind heart.  

Cindy is survived by her parents Bob and Willa Duncan, her brother Dave (Debbie, Kameron, Jordynne); sister Lori(Harry, Dex, Cole) and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

A viewing will be held at Champion Funeral Home on Thursday July 16th from 6-7:00 pm.  A Funeral Service will be held on Friday July 17th at Champion Funeral Home beginning at 10:00 am with Pastor Phil Wold officiating.  Champion Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements.  Online condolences may be written at www.championfh.com.
