Cynthia Gaye Pickering “Cyndi”, 54, of Gillette, WY, died Friday, March 4, 2011, in an automobile accident near Sheridan, WY.
Cyndi was born October 28, 1956, in Minneapolis, MN to Donald & Ramona (Paulson) Pickering.
The family moved to Buffalo, WY in 1973 and she graduated from Buffalo High School. Cyndi moved to Alaska where she received her LPN nursing degree. She returned to Wyoming and graduated from Sheridan College. She then moved to Laramie, WY and graduated from the University of Wyoming with an RN degree. Cyndi moved to Gillette, WY and worked for several clinics and as a traveling nurse. In Sheridan, she worked for several clinics and was presently working at Westview Health Care Center. Cyndi loved her children and family. She was a compassionate person and tried to help everyone.
Cyndi was preceded in death by her father.
Cyndi is survived by her sons Wade Buchan of Billings, MT and Corey Reade Buchan of Sheridan; three sisters Stephanie Blevins & husband Ron Raymond of Deland, FL, Cheryl Pickering & husband Max McLain of Sheridan and Kristin Pickering & husband James Harpole of St. Paul, MN; numerous nephews, aunts and uncles.
Memorial service will be 11:00am on Thursday (Mar. 10th) from Champion Ferries Funeral Home with the Rev. John Orwig officiating. A reception will follow at the Big Horn Mtn. Eagles, 1760 Commercial Ave., Sheridan. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
