David C. Morgan, 80, of Worland, WY, died Monday, December 7, 2009 in Worland.

Mr. Morgan was born December 8, 2009 on the family homestead on Ash Creek. He grew up and attended schools on Ash Creek and at Monarch, WY. David left home at the age of 14 to go to work on various ranches in the Sheridan area.

After working for a number of years, Mr. Morgan went to work at the Sheridan Commercial Mill on Broadway in Sheridan where he ended up as the mill manager. While working at the Sheridan Commercial, David also had a ranch on Ash Creek, and also had leased the Kester place.

Mr. Morgan then moved to Gillette, WY and Buffalo, WY before moving to Worland.

David enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time in the mountains, and spending time with his animals. He especially enjoyed spending time with his wife, Ella.

Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his parents, and five brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Ella, of Worland, WY; several children including his son, Kevin, of Worland, WY; 12 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Morgan will be from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P. M. Monday, December 14, 2009 at Champion Ferries Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 2:00 P. M. Monday, December 14, 2009 at the Dayton Cemetery in Dayton, WY with the Rev. Robert Logan officiating. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
