Dola A. Yockers, 87, of Sheridan, died Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, in Westview Health Care Center. Services are planned in Salina, Kan. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home. Born June 5, 1922, in Sylvan Grove, Kan., she spent most of her life in Salina where she was an active member of the Unity Church family. She enjoyed dancing and singing and participated in the senior choirs in Salina and with the SheridanAires in Sheridan. She enjoyed crafts, daily walks and spending time doing yard work. She was cared for by her daughter and son-in-law of Sheridan for ten years. She resided in Westview Health Care Center for the past year. Survivors include daughter Cindy Gowler of Sheridan; two sons, Stephen and Daniel Bishop; and several grandchildren.
