Donna grew up on the family farm/ranch in Hysham, MT.  Donna attended Hysham Grade School, then Forsyth High School, in Forsyth, Mt.  Donna was part of the marching band there. During this time she participated in rodeo, pole bending, and barrel racing.

After graduation, she began a lifelong occupation of book keeping, for the local lumber yard.  Later she held a booking position with Montana Power in Colstrip, Mt.  While employed in Colstrip, she met and eventually married Al Cope, who became not only her husband but best friend.

Together they raised four children, Deanna, Darren, Krista, and Richard.

After some moving with construction, Donna and Al chose to settle in Sheridan.  Here, Donna worked at Cloud Peak Lanes, and then for Cone Construction, and Westates Construction.  With Westates, Donna worked again with the book keeping aspect, but also took on more responsibilities and eventually held the position of President of Westates for a time.  Donna also started, owned and operated Circle C Adjusters, Inc. for nearly 30 years.

Donna enjoyed playing softball and bowling until arthritis prevented these more physical activities.  She loved gardening, both flowers and vegetables.  She loved being outdoors and being busy.  Fishing and hunting were joys of her life, also she enjoyed crocheting and cross stitching.
