Edithe L. Foley, 95, of Ranchester, WY, died Friday, June 10, 2011 in Westview Health Care Center.

Mrs. Foley was born December 23, 1915 in Arnold, Nebraska to Nels and Josephine (Kilmer) Peterson. She grew up and attended schools in Arnold and graduated from Arnold High School in 1933.

Edithe married Eugene Foley in 1934 in Arnold. The couple lived in Anselmo, Nebraska until moving to Lusk, Wyoming in 1941 where Mrs. Foley worked for Kilmer’s Creamery. She went to nurse’s training at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado in 1961 and then went to work at the State Hospital in Pueblo, Colorado. Mrs. Foley moved to Wheatland, Wyoming in 1964 and worked as a nurse before moving back to Lusk, Wyoming where she went to work as a nurse in the hospital and also worked in the library from 1966 through 1969. Mrs. Foley then moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming where she went to work as a nurse at Laramie County Memorial Hospital until retiring in 1982. She then moved to Ranchester, Wyoming.

Mrs. Foley was a member of the Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, flowers and working in her yard.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister; and one grandson.

She is survived by one son, Don Foley, (LaDonna), of Dayton, Wyoming; one daughter, Mary Klier, of Ranchester, Wyoming’ one brother, Lyle Peterson, (Barbara), of North Platte, Nebraska; 8 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and numerous great, great grandchildren.

A memorial graveside service will be held in Lusk, Wyoming at a later date. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
