Georgia L. Huckeby, 71, of Sheridan, WY returned home to the arms of our Father on April 1, 2011.

She was born in Greybull, Wyoming on March 27, 1940 to Charles & Ida (Thompson) Perkins. She resided in Sheridan Wyoming for the past 30 years. Georgia was an excellent humanitarian freely giving of her time to many non-profit organizations throughout her life. She was actively involved in Kiwanis, The Salvation Army, The Sheridan Chamber of Commerce, and CASA amongst many other worthy community service organizations as a beautiful example of a “Point of Light”.

She was employed by Ferries Funeral Home as a Bereavement Caregiver for many years. She also worked for a period of time for the Sheridan Chamber of Commerce, Jody’s Heart and most recently for Business Leadership Network, each of these requiring a compassionate and understanding heart. Georgia life’s motto was to love much and give wholly. She certainly exemplified this throughout her entire life. She will be deeply missed by her surviving family and friends in her community and throughout.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Georgia is survived by her brother Chuck Perkins and wife Paulette Perkins. She was the Aunt to Jon and Lora Perkins. Georgia was the loving mother of Jancy Bentz, Monica Hernandez, Norma Padilla and Brad Bentz and was the Grandmother to Kert Hernandez, Meggien Hudak, Maddieson Hernandez, Kristopher Hernandez, Julianna Padilla, Ronna Padilla, Emilee Bentz and Aubrey Bentz. She was the Great Grandmother of Marley and Morgan Hudak.

Memorial service will be 11:00am on Wednesday (April 6th) from Champion Ferries Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin Jones officiating. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
