Harold O. "Toby" Thobaben II

Toby Thobaben of Big Horn, WY, passed away October 21, 2012 after a battle with cancer. Toby was 68 years old. Toby was born August 14, 1944 in Oshkosh, Wis., son of Harold O. Thobaben I and Ruth Thobaben.

Toby graduated high school in Sparta, Wis. Toby graduated the Law Enforcement Academy in Wausau, Wis. Toby worked as a deputy Sheriff for Langlade County Sheriff's Department and finished his career with Portage County Sheriff's Department.

Toby was married to Sue Eernisse on December 2, 1967. Later they divorced.

Toby had a passion for Model "A" Fords, Jeeps and Mopars. Toby restored a 1929 Model "A" Ford Squad Car which he drove with pride. Toby always enjoyed showing people of all ages his squad car. Toby loved and respected all people in the emergency sevice profession and his 1929 squad car was a way to show that.

Toby is survived by his former wife, Sue Thobaben, son and daughter-n-law Clint and Julie Thobaben, grandchildren, Matthew and Rachel Thobaben, and other family and friends.

Toby was proceded in death by his parents and brother, David Thobaben.

By Toby's wishes, he was cremated and a private service held in Big Horn, WY.
