Janice Kay Culver, 67, of Sheridan died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at her residence. A private service will be later. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home. Born Nov. 26, 1942, in Pilger, Neb., to Niels and Margaret (Peters) Sorensen, she traveled the country in her childhood due to her father's employment. She married Bob Culver in 1966, and they moved to Lander for two years before settling in Sheridan. A homemaker, waitress, and caregiver, she earned an associate degree at Sheridan College. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband; her father; two sons, William of Brighton, Colo., and James of Sheridan; two daughters, Jennifer Hobson of Auburn, Wash., and Mary Maddux of Pottsboro, Texas; two sisters, Judy Pflugrad of St. George, Utah, and Margaret Snurr of Broken Bow, Neb.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
