JoAnn Jean McKinney, 83, of Sheridan, WY, died Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Westview Health Care Center.

Mrs. McKinney was born August 10, 1926 in Kansas City, MO, the first of twins. Her parents were William Delbert Hardin and Dorothy Marie Smith. She was raised in Junction City, KS.

She moved to Sheridan from Little Rock, AR in 1948 and married Warren ”Mac” McKinney. He died in 1988. Mrs. McKinney worked for Superior Laundry and Dry Cleaners form the late 1940s to the mid 1970s.

Her hobbies were sewing, gardening, doll houses, and her animals.

She was preceded in death by her son, Norman McKinney in 2004, and her twin sister, Josephine Dickens, December 11, 2009.

Mrs. McKinney is survived by her daughter, Faith Keahey, (Robert); and four grandchildren, Elizabeth DeGolyer, (William), of Springville, UT, Cal, Brook, (Megan), and Tony Garretson, all of Sheridan, WY; 11 great grandchildren; and 4 great, great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Darline Price, (David), Connie Halsey, and one brother, Norman Douglas, all of Phoenix, AZ.

At Mrs. McKinney’s request, no services are planned. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
