John C. Evans, 54, of Sheridan, WY, died Saturday, May 8th, 2010 in Sheridan Manor.

Mr. Evans was born January 16th, 1956 in Willows, CA to John and Loree (Williams) Evans.

John was raised all over the country as his dad was a professional Navy man. He graduated from high school in California. He then went to work for a seismograph company and traveled the west, eventually doing some work in the Sheridan area. It was here he found a fondness for the mountains and the great outdoors. He met and married his first wife, Janet, and they moved to Gillette where she went to nursing school. They then moved back to Sheridan where he managed the VFW and the Eagles in commercial park. He and Janet then moved to Washington state, where they would eventually divorce. John moved back where he loved and was loved, Sheridan. He then met the love of his life, Kayleen McKinzie, whom he was engaged to marry. He received a nursing degree from Sheridan College and was a registered nurse as a wound specialist at Sheridan Manor until his death.

Mr. Evans enjoyed hunting, fishing, friends, and spending time at the cabin.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Mike, of Oklahoma.

John is survived by his parents; his fiancé, one son, Daniel of Minnesota; and two brothers, Jim Evans of Washington and Greg Evans of California.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8th, 2020 at Champion Ferries Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
