June F. Voegele, 86, of Sheridan, WY died Friday, October 07, 2011, in Sheridan Manor

June was born June 28, 1925, in Sanger, ND to J. Herbert & Sena (Auen) Flowers.

June grew up and attended school through the 3rd grade when they moved to Dodge, ND. She graduated from Dodge High School in 1942 and then taught rural school north of Zap, ND for one year.

She enrolled in telegraph school in Jamestown, ND and lived in Elk River, MN for two years. She married William Voegele on July 3, 1946, in Beulah, ND where she was a housewife and homemaker. They moved to Hettinger, ND in 1951 then Glendive, MT and Williston, ND.

June was widowed in 1973 and then went to work in Western Dakota Medical Clinic in Williston until she retired in April, 1989. She then worked at the Senior Citizens Center several hours per week and was still active in her church.

In 1998, she moved to Dayton, WY and later into Sheridan. June enjoyed gardening, cross stitch, crossword puzzles, reading, animals and was a seamstress. She also enjoyed baking for her daughter’s Bed and Breakfast in Dayton, WY.

June was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

June is survived by her son Bruce Voegele of Williston, ND; daughter Susan Wheeler-Holohan of Sheridan and granddaughter Kennie Choat of Sheridan.

A private family service will be held later. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
