Karen Le Burchett, August 5, 1946 to March 31, 2023.  She was born in Sheridan, WY, and adopted by Leland and Audrey Burchett.  When she was a toddler, the family moved to Denver, Colorado, where she grew up.  She attended Aurora Central High School in Aurora, Colorado, and graduated in 1964.  She was married to Donald Sisson in 1964.  He served in the Navy in Vietnam, aboard the USS Ticonderoga.  They were divorced in 1970.  She moved to California, where she worked in the telecommunications department of Paramount Pictures for forty years, and was an officer in her union.  After retirement, she was active as an amateur astrologer and genealogical researcher, as well as an advocate for animal welfare. She was a companion and caretaker to the late Lee Wells, a novelist and script writer, and enjoyed many close friendships with neighbors in her Burbank, California neighborhood, as well as long-distance friendships with many.  She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Kelly Burchett Lambert and Hunt Lambert of Westminster, Colorado, and by her nephews, Cei Lambert and Hunter Lambert.

A graveside for Karen Le Burchett will take place at Sheridan Municipal Cemetery at 10 am on Friday, August 4, 2023 with Pastor Kevin Jones officiating. Champion Funeral Home has been entrusted with local arrangements. Online condolences may be written at www.championfh.com.
