Lorraine Burns, 60, of Sheridan, WY died Friday, April 9th, in The Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

Lorraine was born January 7, 1950, in Nanticoke, PA to Clemuel and Lois (Martz) Jarrard.

She grew up in Shickshinny, PA. She received an associate degree and went on to work for the FBI in Washington, DC. It was here that she met and married Mark Burns on April 15th, 1972, in Arlington VA. She then left the FBI and became a homemaker and mother for her family. Lorraine enjoyed genealogy and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Burns was preceded in death by her father and an infant son, John Ashley.

Lorraine is survived by her husband, one son, Matthew Burns of Sheridan; one daughter, Eva Burns of Sheridan; one brother, Clemuel Jarrard Jr. of PA; one sister, Kathy LeClerc of PA; and 3 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the Holy Name Catholic Church on Saturday, April 17th at 10:00 a.m., with Father Rob Spaulding officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date next to her son in the Arlington National Cemetery. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
