Paddy Jay Fort was born January 31, 1959 in Gillette, WY to Bonnie Bartlett and Harry W. Fort. He passed away October 12, 2021 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital, Sheridan, WY.

Paddy is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Willinor (Willie) Newbrough and Deeda Long and one brother, Harry R. Fort.

In 1980 Paddy married Vicki Wellman in Illinois and had Tishia Baxter (Earl) and Justin Fort (Tabitha). In 1984 they moved to Sheridan, WY where Travis Fort (Angela) was born. Paddy and Vicki divorced in 1992. In 2006, Paddy met his long-term companion Misty White, her daughter Nessa and grandson Adam. In his early days, Paddy enjoyed family gatherings which included hunting, fishing and shooting the bull. He tried to keep up with his grandkids; JW Fort, Lane Fort, Gage Baxter, Mia Baxter and Anna Baxter along with grandchickens and granddogs. In the last few years, he enjoyed his diet Mountain Dew, Camel reds, the weather channel and John Wayne movies. He wanted everyone to know that when he died he: “Gone to Hell in a Flash of Fire”

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Big Horn Mountain Eagles, 1760 Commercial Ave, Sheridan, WY. At a later date there will be a private family ceremony. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Fort Family to help cover final arrangements, 764 E. 8th Street Sheridan, WY 82801.
