Robert P. Fiedor

Robert Pete Fiedor, 68, of Sheridan, father of a Gillette man, died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at Westview Nursing Home of unknown causes.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Name Catholic Church in Sheridan. Rosary was Thursday at St. Edmunds Catholic Church in Ranchester.

He was born March 14, 1943, in Ranchester to Edward and Agnes Fiedor, one of 12 children. He attended grade school in Ranchester and graduated from Tongue River High School in 1961, the last class to graduate in the old school in Ranchester.

In 1963, he married Donna Sharon Ray and they moved to Laramie where he worked for the Department of Agriculture at the University of Wyoming. The couple had three sons, Jeff, Tim and Pat. The family moved to Sheridan where he worked for the Sheridan Meat Company.

He was a member of Big Horn Mountains Eagles #4169 and a member of St. Edmunds Catholic Church, where he served as an alter boy. He enjoyed being a part of the large Polish community in Sheridan, fishing, spending time in the mountains, cooking and gardening.

Mr. Fiedor is survived by his second wife, Pauline; two sons, including Pat Fiedor of Gillette; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters; four brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son; three brothers and a sister.
