Suzanne Marie (LaRocque) McClintock was born on May 3, 1942 in Long Beach, California. She was adopted by George and Eldora LaRocque as an infant. She embraced the selfless, unconditional love of her parents and also adopted two children of her own, Gregory David McClintock and Anne-Marie McClintock, with her devoted and loving husband of 55 years, David Bird McClintock. She is survived by her husband, David McClintock, her two children, Greg McClintock and Anne-Marie McClintock, Greg’s loving wife, Lisa McClintock and her two grandchildren, Gavin McClintock and Libby McClintock.

She spent part of her childhood abroad, living in Lahore, Pakistan. She experienced more of the world in her first 17 years of life than most people do in their lifetimes.

Suzanne graduated from Colorado Women’s College in 1965, but this was the smallest of her accolades. Her true successes were her love and commitment to her family and children, and helping others.  She was a special educational assistant for many years in Cheyenne before retiring to Sheridan Wyoming with her husband, Dave. Suzanne and Dave always (and will continue to) welcomed anyone passing through Sheridan with open arms and an overabundance of food and love. Suzanne made the best chocolate chip oatmeal cookies (her mother-in-law's recipe) in all of Wyoming.

She was an avid reader, pickleball player, bunco player, card player and greeting card maker. She loved sewing, baking, cooking, crafts, gardening and traveling. She volunteered at the Senior Center, Urban Thrift Store and Meals on Wheels.

She also loved making lists. We cannot put into a list all of the best qualities Suzanne passed on to everyone she loved and cared for, but here are a few. She was selfless, undeniably generous, humble, loveable, accepting, big-hearted, brave, compassionate, dependable, devoted, intelligent, loving, and loyal. She was one-of-a-kind. Her laughter and love will live on through us all.

Suzanne’s services will be held Saturday, August 10^th, 2024 at 10 am at the First United Methodist Church in Sheridan Wyoming with Pastor Jim Barth officiating. A reception will immediately follow services. Inurnment will take place at 12 pm at Sheridan Municipal Cemetery, Juniper Heights section. In lieu of flowers you can make donations to Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library, 335 W. Alger St., or The Food Group, 1141 Crook St., Sheridan, Wyoming.
