
William E. "Bud" Gleason

William E. “Bud” Gleason, 61, of Banner, WY, died Friday, July 17, 2009 in Sheridan Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Gleason was born August 12, 1947 in Sheridan, WY to William and Hattie (Bixby) Gleason. Bill grew up in Sheridan and Gillette and attended schools in both cities.
He was a proud Vietnam Veteran serving his country in Vietnam from 1967 to 1972.
He spent his younger years working on ranches and soon made his mark on the transportation industry as a truck driver for over 30 years. He was also a proud member of the Northern Cheyenne Indian Tribe in Montana.
Bill enjoyed traveling and taking in the scenery of the country, (especially the mountains and Kirby, Montana), camping, hunting, computers, and spending time with friends and family. He was also a volunteer at Sheridan Memorial Hospital. Bill was a member of and had been baptized into the First Christian Church of Sheridan, WY.
He was preceded in death by his father, William P. Gleason; his mother, Hattie C. (Bixby) Gleason; his younger brother, Gary G. Gleason; and a grandson, Jonathon L. SoRelle.
Bill is survived by his wife, Deborah S. Gleason, of Sheridan, WY; 3 daughters, Stephanie Gleason, of Sheridan, WY, Tina Barnett, and Sandra Pennock, both of Riverton, WY; 3 grandsons, Sean and Rudy Gleason, both of Sheridan, and Jeremy Roberts, of Gillette, WY; sister, Sandra Reynolds, and husband, Charles, of Gillette, WY; 2 granddaughters, Christina and Hidie, also of Riverton, WY; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life for Bill with family and friends will be 2:00 P. M. Sunday, August 2, 2009 in Kendrick Park in Sheridan, WY. Inurnment will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 3, 2009 in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery with the Rev. Douglas Goodwin officiating. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
Memorials in memory of Mr. Gleason may be made to the Hospice of the Big Horns.
